TABERNACLE
The Tabernacle venue is open 0600 – 0000 hrs daily and just like the biblical tabernacle, is a place that is set apart so people can meet with God intimately through sung worship and prayer, scripture reading, prophetic art and communion. It was a dwelling place for God’s presence. In the tabernacle, as with all venues, venue we want to meet with God and host His presence but in a smaller venue than the Big top and with more quiet to reflect and seek him.
Although we now have Jesus as Holy Spirit, as our ultimate tabernacle and he is dwelling in the hearts of those that know him, we do not need to make further physical animal sacrifices as happened pre Jesus’s sacrifice for us, we desire this space to be a place set apart for unhindered worship.
.
HOLY – SET APART
Unlike other venues on site, the tabernacle will be set apart, welcome to all, but with all people required to enter without footwear, but leaving at the entrance. This is to keep the venue set apart from other venues. The venue will have a number of hosts who will oversee the weekend.
WORSHIP
Worship is the expression of adoration, reverence and love. Whether it is through song, the spoken word, art or silence, we will exalt God with awe in the tabernacle. We want to join with heaven as they gather around the throne saying, “blessing and honour and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever”. Revelation 5.
If you wish to be considered to sow into the sung worship aspect of worship in the tabernacle venue during the weekend, please email one of our host team using the email worship@cedarwoodfestival.com.
RELATIONSHIP
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
1 John 3
Ever wonder why you were created? It was to have a personal relationship with God. He knows every intimate detail about you. He even knows the number of hairs on your head. Luke 12. Jesus tells us to go to Him when we feel weary and heavy laden, and He will give us rest. Matthew 11. In the tabernacle, we want you to experience the fullness of God’s love for you.
PRAYER
Prayer is a way to communicate with God. Jesus would often go away from the crowds to be alone and pray to the Father. We want to offer a venue that is set aside to do this. God promises to be attentive to the prayers offered in His temple (or in this case His tabernacle!). 2 Chronicles 7:15. Jesus is the light in the darkness. John 1. He heals the broken-hearted. He proclaims liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. Isaiah 61. He comforts those who mourn. Matthew 5. He heals the sick. Luke 4. In the tabernacle, offer your prayers to our miracle working Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
