Safe Families for Children confirmed as Silver Sponsors
9th April, 2019
Cedarwood Festival is excited to announce that Safe Families for Children will be a silver event sponsor for their first ever event, launching in July 2019.
The festival aims to bring people and churches of all ages and denominations across the North of England together for worship, prayer and community on the Lambton Estate in Chester-le-Street, 5-7th July 2019.
Safe Families for Children know that every child deserves to thrive, and they recognise that to do this children need to be loved and secure in their own family. The problem is that when families are isolated and struggling their children can feel upset and afraid. Facing life alone is hard, and when families feel like there is no one there to help it’s a scary place to be.
Which is why Safe Families train and support over 4,000 volunteers mainly from churches across the UK who are making a difference with families in their local community.
Safe Families train and support volunteers and connect them with isolated families, so they can build relationships that bring hope.
These relationships are stopping families from breaking down and instead children are thriving in their own safe families.
Kat Osborn, Chief Executive of Safe Families for Children has said
“Safe Families is thrilled to be partnering with Cedarwood Festival in their first year, we are excited to see the impact that a festival like this can have on the church both here in the UK and worldwide. Our passion as an organisation is to partner with local church to make a difference to isolated families in their community.
We believe that the local church is uniquely positioned to offer hospitality and community to isolated families and have seen across the country the impact the church is having in transforming the lives of children and families”
Cedarwood Festival Event Director, David Stretton-Downes added:
“We are thrilled to welcome Safe Families for Children as one of our silver sponsors for Cedarwood Festival 2019!
The work that Safe Families for Children does is greatly impacting the whole country, as well as lives within the North East. This work is being done by the dedication and selfless acts of members of the local church. We are looking forward to sharing more of their testimonies at CF19.”
